Nintendo DSi XL to hit SA next month

30 March 2010

Local distributor Core has announced that the Nintendo DSi XL will hit local shelves in late April 2010.

The DSi XL features two 4.2 inch screens, and provides a 93% larger viewing area than the DS Lite.

Like the DS Lite, it makes use of a stylus pen in conjunction with its touch screen technology. Unlike the DS Lite’s stylus which is quite small, the XL features a much larger pen.

The DSi XL will be available in “wine red” and dark brown, with a glossy finish ordaining the top side of the device, and a mat finish on the bottom for improved grip when resting on surfaces.

The DSi XL comes with the following preinstalled: Dr Kawashima’s: Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition and Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function and the Nintendo DSi Browser.

Local pricing details are expected to become available by the end of the week.
