OpenWeb offers R9.29 per GB Unshaped ADSL

Openweb today announced that they have launched new ADSL packages offering subscribers unshaped bandwidth for as little as R9.29 per GB.

Bandwidth will however be shaped between 08:00 and 13:00 on weekdays.  “Users will get unshaped bandwidth from Monday to Friday from 13:00pm until 08:00am and over weekends, but P2P and torrents will be shaped from 08:00 to 13:00 on weekdays,” explains Openweb founder Keoma Wright.

ADSL data bundle pricing starts at R549 for a 30GB account, and increases to R799 for a 50GB account and R929 for a 100GB package.

In another announcement Axxess is offering new uncapped ADSL subscribers access to uncapped data until the end of March for R1.

“Axxess DSL have launched a special offer of R1 for their 384Kbps or 4096Kbps Uncapped Account to the end of March 2010. This will give the account holder just over one day of Uncapped Internet access for only R1,” explains Ryan Hendricks, General Manager for Axxess DSL.

“The account will remain active for the month of April and normal retail rates of R196 for the 384Kbps Uncapped and R496 for the 4096Kbps Uncapped Internet will be billed from April 1st for these accounts. In April the retail rates will be R196 for a 384Kbps and R496 for a 4096 Kbps Uncapped service.”
