Will Wright, former SimCity and Sims guy, has double-teamed with former Spike TV and Nickelodean guy Albie Hecht, and is working on a TV show dubbed “The Creation Project”. According to IGN, it’s a “TV series about the creation of a TV series”, one of those brain-boggling concepts that’s going to have stupid people counting stuff out on their fingers everywhere when it launches later this year.

It looks like there’s some audience participation involved too – the sort of audience participation where the audience actually comes up with everything. There’s apparently a online/mobile device component, dubbed “StoryMaker Engine”, that people can use to rapidly prototype ideas and storyboards and submit these to producers.

That’s the idea, anyway. If it’s anything like Wright’s last project (Spore), anything could change. Including just about everything.
