Local distributor Core has confirmed the official recommended retail price of its soon to be launched DSi XL portable console.
The DSi XL is scheduled to hit local retail shelves late this month, and brings two 4.2 inch screens to the familiar Nintendo DSi design. Nintendo claims that DSi XL features 93% more viewing space than the DS Lite. The stylus pen which accompanies the XL is also significantly larger than its diminutive counterpart’s.
The DSi XL will be available locally in “wine red” and dark brown, with a glossy finish ordaining the top side of the device, and a mat finish on the bottom for improved grip when resting on surfaces.
The DSi XL comes with the following preinstalled: Dr Kawashima’s: Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition and Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function and the Nintendo DSi Browser.
Core has confirmed that the DSi XL will carry a local recommended price of between R1999 and R2099.
We can expect certain retailers to come in below this. Take 2 currently has the DSi XL Bronze listed for R2350.
