Oh, come on. You’ve played it. I know you have. And since I’m all about camaraderie, I’ll admit I’ve played it too (actually I haven’t, really*). Anyway, the game everybody plays secretly when nobody else is looking is coming to PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS in Spring, and unless you’re one of those end times anachronists who don’t hook their consoles up to the internet, there’s no more hiding it. And there’d better be a Trophy / Achievement for locking a Sim in a room, removing the doors, and leaving them to starve to death in a cold puddle of their own excrement (“Oh, The Irony”).
“We’re bringing players the best console and handheld game for The Sims franchise to date and are excited to offer a unique experience for all types of gamers on their platform of choice,” says Sam Player, executive producer guy at EA. “Building on the unique traits system, living open neighborhood, lifetime wishes, and endless customization options, we’ve tailored each platform of The Sims 3 with exclusive features to allow for even more control, creativity, and connectivity.”
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will apparently also ship out with one of those single-use bonus stuff codes that EA’s so in love with these days. These goodies include sharing your Achievements over Facebook (wooh), and in-game content downloads from other users. Send everyone you know a burned cheese sandwich!
*Okay, I have.
