Activision has revealed the details on how eager virtual tea-baggers will upgrade their current-gen Call of Duty: Ghosts edition to the next-gen version.
Players will be able to participate in the “Game Ahead” program, which allows gamers to purchase a dual-license for the digital version of Ghosts for Microsoft’s current and future platform.
The dual-license will be priced at $69.99 (R690*) and will allow users to access the current and next-gen versions of the game – so the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions, with the same option for the PS3 and PS4 versions yet to be announced.
The transition from current to next-gen will keep the same gamertag and will carry stats and unlocks over from platform to platform.
If players don’t want to buy the dual-license from the get-go, the cost to upgrade will only be $10 (R98*).
MyGaming caught up with Activision’s Daniel Suarez at Gamescom 2013, and chatted about Call of Duty: Ghosts, South Africa, and Chuck Norris.
