Call of Duty 7: Black Ops revealed – gets release date

1 May 2010

Activision has revealed its seventh official Call of Duty game in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops. The first sneak trailer was published on GameTrailers and you can watch it below.

It doesn’t show much gameplay, and nor does it give any clear indication of where the game is set. It has been widely speculated that it will take place in the Vietnam era, but the video does little to confirm this. It is clear however that Black Opps will be set in a more modern setting than Treyarch’s last CoD, and earlier CoD’s, and there are a few clips in the video that suggest some jungle combat, so Vietnam may be indeed featured in some way.

It has also been confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on November 9 2010.

Check out the video for yourself, and be sure to let us know if you spot any telling details.

Update

It has been confirmed via the teaser website that the game will feature Cuban, Vietnamese and Arctic locations.
