Gameplan, a research firm focusing on gaming industry trends, has revealed its findings detailing the 25 most anticipated games according to over 4000 US based survey respondents.
It is worth noting that the research was conducted on US gamers. North America is an Xbox 360 stronghold, and the Xbox 360 to PS3 ratio is more even in places like Europe and outlying regions. Therefore, we would expect the findings to be slightly tilted in favour of Microsoft.

As mentioned above, there seems to be more anticipation around Xbox 360 games than PS3. Also interesting, is that platform exclusives are the most anticipated games, as is evident by looking at the 7 most anticipated games on the list, not to mention Diablo III, StarCraft II and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
While the Xbox 360’s outlook may look brighter than the PS3’s if we look at future releases, it would seem that the Sony has a slight advantage with current releases.
