Market research company Gfk has released its August 2013 sales charts for the SA physical retail gaming market, revealing the top 5 selling games during the month.
As a new twist this month, we have PC sales data that excludes any Sims 3 titles, which has become a running joke due its dominance.
Interestingly, Grand Theft Auto 5 pre-orders entered into the PS3 chart, illustrating the immense popularity of the title.
The excellent Splinter Cell Blacklist cracked into the top spots on PC and Xbox 360. The indomitable Minecraft upstaged all the triple-A releases once again, as its physical release topped the Xbox 360 chart.

The stats presented are gathered on a monthly basis from the retailers with whom the Gfk is in partnership.
