In association with Deep Silver, and compiled using GfK Chart-Track (as official as it gets, really), Develop 100 has released a list of the top 100 most bankable developers in the world over the past year.

The stats are made up exclusively from UK sales data, which they feel best reflects global sales trends.

Below are the 50 most bankable developers in the world right now

Nintendo (1) takes the top spot thanks to a large percentage of software sales being bundled with Wii hardware, not to mention the console’s massive install base. No surprises as Infinity Ward comes in second thanks to the record breaking sales that Modern Warfare 2 enjoyed. EA Canada (3) probably has MySims Racing to thank for its high placement, and Ubisoft Montreal (4) can thank Splinter Cell: Conviction, Avatar and Assassins Creed 2 for its success.

Bungie came in relatively low at 16, but I suspect this will change when Halo: Reach hits shelves, as did Naughty Dog at 29(Uncharted 2) and Bioware at 42(Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2).
