Bethesda’s yanked the radiation-proof tarp off the Fallout: New Vegas Collector’s Edition, and it’s hotter that a Nuka Cola hand grenade.
Packing a bunch of stuff from post-apocalyptic Vegas including seven casino chips and a special “Lucky 38 Platinum Chip”, as well as a deck of playing cards featuring in-game characters (“to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for New Vegas!”), a hardback graphic novel penned by creative director Chris Avellone, and a making-of DVD, the whole lot comes in a holocaust-fashionable distressed box that shouldn’t look out of place next to boxes of spam and shotgun shells in any self-respecting Vault-Tec approved bomb shelter. G.E.C.K.s presumably sold separately.
No local price is available yet, but it’s currently set at $79.99 and $69.99 for console and PC editions respectively in the States.
Fallout: New Vegas is scheduled for a – wait for it – Fall release. That puts it sometime in Spring for us. Start saving your bottlecaps.
