LEGO The Hobbit announced

25 November 2013

Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, developer TT Games, and The LEGO Group today (25 November 2013) announced LEGO The Hobbit, heading to Xbox One, Xbox 360, Ps4, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS, Windows and Mac in 2014.

LEGO The Hobbit will be based on the first two films of The Hobbit Trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the upcoming The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Players will quest throughout Middle-earth, joining Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, and Thorin Oakenshield and Company in their exciting adventures toward the Dwarven Kingdom of Erebor.

Playable characters include Bilbo, Gandalf, and all of the Dwarves: Thorin, Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori. Each has their own special ability.

Players will visit key locations from the films, including Bag End, Bilbo’s Hobbit-hole in Hobbiton, trek through the treacherous High Pass over The Misty Mountains, and explore the depths of Goblin-town, Mirkwood and Rivendell.

Puzzles, Treasure Quests, and battles with Orcs, Trolls and fouler things bulk out the gameplay. Players will also mine for gems, discover loot from enemies, craft magic items, and build immense LEGO structures.
