Chroma: the musical first person shooter

18 February 2014

Harmonix, in association with Hidden Path Entertainment, has revealed a new spin on the FPS genre – a free to play musical FPS.

Imagine shooting to the beat with multiple classes, primary and secondary weapons, and all done during a time-based challenge. Think Rock Band with guns.

In Chroma everything you do can be done better if timed perfectly to the beat: aiming down your sights and shooting at the perfect time will result in a one-hit kill; jump at the perfect time and you will jump higher.

The game relies heavily on timing your actions during some awesome set-beat stages – it’s like a party with guns.

Chroma has a slick looking futuristic theme, with neon lights and laser beams. The guns look like something out of Star Wars.

Harmonix has revealed that the game will release later this year, but you can sign up now for closed Alpha testing.
