June Game Release Calendar

May turned out to be a great month for gamers, especially of the console variety. Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, Skate 3 and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands made sure there was plenty to choose from for those with either a PS3 or an Xbox 360. Then there was Lost Planet 2, UFC 2010, Split Second: Velocity, and of course FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa to round things off nicely.

But what about this month you ask? Well sadly, there is not a heck of a lot going on for gamers in June.

We would usually get pretty excited about a new cricket game, but given the disappointment of Codemasters’ last attempt, we aren’t putting too much faith in International Cricket 2010. 

It’s not all doom and gloom though. PC gamers will finally get their hands on Darksiders, which was well received on console earlier this year. They will also get Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands just a few weeks after it was released on consoles, and PS3 gamers that did not manage to get their hands on Demon’s Souls last year will be pleased to see its official PAL release hitting shelves this month. 

We are also pretty excited about Naughty Bear, which is looking decidedly bizarre and awesome. You get to play a sociopathetic teddy bear as he slices and dices his way across a place called Perfection Island, what more is there to say really?

Then there is singularity which is due for an international release on June 29, although a local shelf time is unconfirmed and I don’t see this one making it here before July. Also no confirmation from EA on a release date for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 which is due out internationally on June 8.
