Goat Simulator is no April Fools’ joke

In less than one month your childhood dreams of controlling a virtual goat will come true. Goat Simulator creators, Coffee Stain Studios, have revealed the release date for the open-world exploration game – April 1.

According to the game’s website, Goat Simulator will only appear on PC and it will be without a multiplayer option. It is currently available for pre-order (10$/R107) and includes access to a beta test.

Goat Simulator is an open-world exploration and physic simulation game in which you take charge of a noble capra, and use your gripping tongue and knack for jumping and climbing to generally goat around and wreck havoc.

It should be noted that the developers themselves don’t take it too seriously, but I think we have the next Surgeon Simulator sleeper hit on our hooves.

“Goat Simulator is a small, broken and stupid game. It was made in a couple of weeks so don’t expect a game in the size and scope of GTA with goats. In fact, you’re better off not expecting anything at all actually. To be completely honest, it would be best if you’d spend your $10 on a hula hoop, a pile of bricks, or maybe a real-life goat,” says Coffee Stain Studios on the pre-order page.
