These days when we discuss Bioware, titles like Mass Effect and Dragon Age dominate the conversation. Of course the developer has a long pedigree with RPGs, with classics like Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic adorning its C.V.
It is easy to forget then that one of their earliest projects was MDK2, a third-person action adventure title praised for its variety of compelling gameplay.
Don’t worry if you missed it though, because publisher interplay has announced that it will be getting an HD revamp for PC, as well as a downloadable WiiWare release.
Both projects are being handled by Beamdog, a studio formed by Bioware veteran Trent Oster, and staffed by “some of the original MDK2 team.”
Both games will become available around September this year, and the PC release will be downloadable via Beamdog’s own digital distribution platform.
