Bioware still has “pretty big plans” for Mass Effect 2 DLC

15 July 2010

Don’t pack away that N7 armour just yet, because there’s still a war on and stuff. Well, BioWare’s not quite done with Mass Effect 2, anyway, even if the next sequel is already in development.

Talking to VG247 over at the Develop conference in Brighton yesterday, BioWare guy Greg Zeschuk confirmed that there’s more Mass Effect DLC incoming. “We still have more DLC in the plan for Mass 2,” he said. “The last ones were really well received. People were really, really impressed with the Overlord Pack, and the Kasumi one did really well too. It’s at the point where it’ll probably diminish a little bit, but there are still some pretty big plans for DLC. It’s doing really well. Overall it’s something we’ll definitely continue doing.”

The company has previously said they’ll be filling the gaps between Mass Effect 2 and 3 with DLC, of course, so maybe expect to find out how Shepard dumps his squeeze this time around. Or something.
