NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Looks like Konami’s yanked the plug on Frozen Codebase’s Metalocalypse: Deathgame, a sidescrolling beat-‘em-up based on the Adult Swim show that was due to launch on XBLA and PSN sometime around the end of last year already. Which was probably a bit of a clue, actually. That’s according to some guy over at Siliconera, who says Adult Swim themselves pulled the licence for some reason.
This heads will bangs no more.
Actually, though, looking at that screenshot makes me think it’s maybes not such a bads things. It looks total dildos.
So here’s to two things happening instead:
1. Adult Swim signs Frozen Codebase to an XBLA and PSN port of Robot Unicorn Attack instead.
2. Someone else takes over the licence, and makes a Super Thunder Blade clone featuring a Hatredcopter. And better gameplay, because Super Thunder Blade was actually kinda dildos too.
