Postal III back on the map

27 August 2010

After many months of silence, Running with Scissors has reappeared with a great Postal III website and some new content. The Postal III website bears a variety of Postal goodies, such as a breakdown of all the weapons, screenshots, wallpapers, and some music (coming soon).

Of course, since we are talking about Postal, MyGaming is morally obliged to warn all the kids to stay away from the site (at least until your parents aren’t looking).

Postal III Line-up

Interested gamers can watch Postal protagonist – The Dude – fail his psychiatric evaluation:

There’s also some new gameplay footage showing off the hilariously gratuitous mayhem in store:

If that’s not enough Postal video footage to whet your senseless violence craving palate, Game Trailers has posted four exclusive Postal III videos showing off some other aspects of the game.

Take a tour of the porn shop with its particularly unsavoury owner; achievement junkies can check out the cat collecting mini-game; Osama Bin Laden and his cronies make an appearance; and watch The Dude escort an escort out of a busy shopping mall.

The Postal series of games certainly caters to a specific demographic of gamers – those who can shrug off a bit (okay, a lot) of senseless, bloody, pointless, over-the-top violence. Everyone else should probably stay away, because they will just be annoyed and disgusted, and there aren’t enough high-horses to go around.

The game has no scheduled release date yet, and it is probably somewhat unpolished, so bear that in mind as your view the video footage.
