According to Examiner.com, one of the bigger rumours to emerge from the Penny Arcade Expo last weekend, is that Bioware is gearing up to announce Mass Effect 3 in October. 

Furthermore, they will supposedly confirm that the game is coming to PS3, as well as Xbox 360 and PC. Examiner is calling it a “reliable tip” but we are still firmly in rumour territory. 

Mass Effect 2 will be released on PS3 early next year. It was widely considered to be a key console exclusive for the Xbox 360, and the transition to PS3 marks a valuable acquisition for Sony. We are pretty sure that Mass Effect 3 will be released on PS3, and a Mass Effect 3 announcement is probably due, making this a fairly believable rumour.
