Mafia II breaks record for using the F-word 200 times

16 September 2010

It’s hard not to notice the often over the top swearing when playing through 2K Games’ Mafia II. It sometimes feels like every second word starts with an “F” and ends with a “K.” The guys over at Red vs Blue noticed this, and decided to count how many times the F-bomb is dropped in one play through of the game.

The previous record for the use of the F-word in a game was 189 times, and was held by House of the Dead: Overkill. Mafia II has beaten that record by 11, and the below video serves as proof.

The game can take its place amongst classic Mafia movies which also make heavy use of the word, including Casino which uses it 422 times at an average of 2.37 F***s per minute, and Goodfellas with 300 F***,s averaging 2.06 uses per minutes.

Obviously this video contains a lot of swearing, and is not recommended for sensitive viewers. Nor is it ideal for viewing in an open office environment.
