The Last Guardian

Team Ico is currently working on The Last Guardian, and it will be released exclusively for PS3 in “holidays 2011”, so towards the end of next year then. 

Like its previous games, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian will focus on a two way relationship. In ICO it was between a young boy and an enigmatic girl called Yorda, while in Shadow of the Colossus it was Wanderer and his steed Agro. This time around, it is between a young boy and a beast resembling a giant griffon. 

The pair have to navigate a crumbling fortress, while avoiding the threat of rogue knights. It is expected that there will be a broader more sinister force at play, but not much is known at this point. The boy and the Griffon will have to interact in various ways to solve puzzles as they explore the dungeon, and the video and screen shots below illustrate some amazing visuals and art direction.
