Fans of THQ’s Darksiders will be thrilled to know that a direct sequel was recently confirmed. However, Speaking at an investor call, CEO Brian Farrel had this to say:
“For fiscal 2013 we plan to release a sequel to our critically acclaimed Darksiders game and will be unveiling more details about Darksiders 2 in the future.”
“Fiscal 2013” means somewhere between April 2012 and March 2013.
Darksiders was a surprisingly good action-adventure, and was initially released on PS3 and Xbox 360, before later making its way to PC.
Apart from this tidbit, nothing else is known of the sequel.
THQ is also aiming to release their Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium MMO during the same fiscal 2013 period.
