Medal of Honor Hot Zone, Clean Sweep DLC now available

5 November 2010

Two new DLC packs for EA’s Medal of Honor reboot are now available, although Xbox 360 gamers are still waiting on news of the Clean Sweep DLC which was delayed for their platform.

Clean Sweep

Clean Sweep is the free DLC pack – free for those with an EA Online Pass (consoles) and registered PC version. Clean Sweep is an elimination mode where players will rely on their own skill and teammates’ expertise to prove victorious.

This free mode will also feature two all-new maps (Bagram Hangar and Khyber Caves) as well as redesigned versions of Shaikhot Base and Helmand Valley Base.

There is some confusion as to which redesigned maps will be included in the Clean Sweep DLC as EA previously indicated that redesigned versions of the Diwagal Camp and Kabul City Ruins maps were to be included. From our side, we are assuming that the redesigned Diwagal Camp and Kabul City Ruins maps will be in Clean Sweep, and there is a mistake on EA’s latest press release.

Hot Zone

The new mode called Hot Zone features “King of the Hill” gameplay where teams fight over a designated location on a map; the team who holds their position longest prevails.

This mode is playable across two all-new maps (Hindukush Pass and Korengal Outpost) as well as redesigned versions of the popular Shahikot Valley and Helmand Valley multiplayer maps. Hot Zone will be available via Xbox LIVE for 800 MS points and on PlayStation Network for US$9.99 (±R70) and on PC exclusively via the EA Store for US$9.99.
