16 November 2010

Kalahari.net is SA’s largest online retailer and it is particularly popular among gamers thanks to the combination of free delivery, competitive pricing, and generally high service levels.

According to Kalahari’s recent festive season shopping survey:

87% of the estimated five million connected South Africans plan on shopping online;

Online sales are estimated to increase by up to 25% compared with 2009;

33% plan on spending up to a quarter of their monthly wage on gifts this December;

iPhone4 is the most sought after gift follwed by eReaders;

Jamie Oliver and Madiba battle it out as the most sought after book gift;

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol is the current hot holiday read;

Susan Boyle is tipped to be the best seller for the second year running with her debut album I Dreamed a Dream.
