We really never imagined in a million years that Activision would release paid downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

For the low, low, once-off price of just R1200MS Points $15 (R105), Xbox 360 gamers will be the first to gain access to a handful of new maps on February 1. But wait, there’s more! Actually no, there really isn’t.
For the same price, DICE released an expansion for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 last year which not only introduced a bunch of new maps, but gave as an entire new era to wage war in; the Vietnam war. New weapons, vehicles and music completed the Vietnam expansion pack. Activision’s handful of maps for the same price seems steeper than ever in comparison, especially considering that the game was panned by millions of customers around the world for being buggy and broken at release.
Anyways, this is what you can expect from the DLC:
– 4 new multiplayer maps
– 1 new zombie level
No word on when the DLC will hit PS3 and PC, but going on previous experience we can expect it to cost $15 on those platforms.
On a positive note, the new maps actually look pretty cool with new interactive features such as zip lines and destructible bridges.
