This is the man behind rAge Expo 2016

Those of you who are familiar with the South African gaming scene are no doubt familiar with the name “NAG magazine”.

The magazine has been published for 16 years since (1998) and won numerous awards over the years, including Best magazine of the Year Award for Youth Culture in 2007 and 2008.

The one name that has remained constant in the magazine’s publishing history and eventually the formation of the RAGE Expo in 2002 is Michael James.

James is responsible not only for the transition of NAG magazine to the digital-age but the introduction of the localised African edition of IGN in 2013.

Now he attends numerous international gaming and technology conventions around the world, including E3 in Los Angeles and Gamescom in Germany, as well as international press events where all the latest trends in technology, gaming, and geek culture are on display.

His aim is expanding the magic of video games and related geek culture, technology, and eSports into Africa while establishing and expanding the South African market.
