EA has announced that its next-generation golf game, EA Sports PGA Tour, has been delayed until Spring 2023.
EA Sports first confirmed that the game was in development in November 2021, and said it would release in early 2022. This announcement drew lots of interest, as it would be the first EA PGA Tour game since Rory McIlroy PGA Tour in 2015.
However, EA Sports PGA Tour’s official Twitter page recently revealed that it will now be released in spring 2023.
This was the first announcement since the initial reveal, and EA Sports did not give a reason for the delay.
The game promises to allow players to customize their own golfing champion while competing on the latest and greatest PGA Tour courses and against the best current players in the world.
“Our team of passionate golf fans is meticulously recreating the world’s top courses such as Pebble Beach, and we can’t wait to give fans the opportunity to compete on some of the most iconic PGA TOUR courses and win the FedExCup,” said Cam Webber EA Sports executive vice president.
