A new season of X-Files has been confirmed in a recent Fox TV Group Conference call with investors.
Fox premiered a 10th season of the sci-fi show earlier in 2016, following a 14-year hiatus.
Fox TV Group chairmans Dana Walden and Gary Newman were quick to confirm the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as Agents Mulder and Scully, but warned that the new season was still in the early planning stages and not to expect it before early 2018.
“…hopefully this season we will be able to get it done and that the same time next year (May), we will have something to announce.”
Conversations are ongoing. I can tell you that all of them would like to do more of these, and certainly the network and studio want to do more.”
