X-Men TV series on the cards

X-Men Apocalypse

20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television will co-produce an X-Men television series, with Fox delivering guarantees that it will pick up the pilot episode, Variety reported.

The series is currently untitled and will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers and are forced to go on the run from a hostile government.

Matt Nix will write the pilot episode, and will be an executive producer on the show along with X-Men film director Bryan Singer.

Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory also join the team as executive producers.

No details about the air date of the pilot have yet been announced.
