Marvel is killing off one of its oldest superheroes today

13 July 2016

Superheroes seem to die and come back to life all the time in Marvel’s universe but it’s not every day that they kill off one of their oldest and biggest characters.

That’s exactly what is happening in Marvel’s newest series, Civil War #3, which has already seen a number of casualties.

Warning: Spoilers for Marvel’s Civil War series below.

Recent issues of the main Hulk title have shown Bruce Banner adjusting to a reality where he doesn’t have to worry about turning into a raging engine of destruction anymore.

Yet, he still might. That’s the reason that the Avengers, X-Men, and Inhumans converge on Banner’s secret lab while Carol Danvers and Tony Stark talk to Banner about Ulysses’ visions.

That’s when things go terribly awry for everybody’s favourite big green hero.
