Best games you can play this week – hacks and slashes

14 November 2016

November isn’t even done yet, and we’ve already been having a cracking month for gaming.

With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Dishonored 2 already heating things up, it’s now time for some more big sequels to make its mark ahead of the holiday season, including two big Ubisoft releases in one week.

Watch Dogs 2

15 November 2016 (Xbox One, PS4)

29 November 2016 (PC)

Ubisoft’s hack-’em-up action game lured in many fans into its dark, high-tech world, but one couldn’t help the feeling that the game wasn’t as cool as initially promised.

However, it was fun and the sequel arrives this week and it’s looking to be the Watch Dogs experience we were all hoping for.

Watch Dogs 2 moves the action to San Francisco with a new hacker Marcus, who, while enjoys causing chaos with his smartphone skills, also has a pension for parkour.

Watch Dogs 2 looks faster, prettier, and features more gameplay variety that should please fans when it launches this week.

Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection

15 November 2016 (Xbox One, PS4)

To make up for a mainline Assassin’s Creed skipping this year, Ubisoft is putting the best entries in the series into one package. Again.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection brings Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and the story’s finale, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

However, these are only the single-player campaigns and add-ons from the various game, and not the multiplayer which features in Brotherhood and Revelations.

Of course, you will get the graphical upgrades you’d expect with modern remasters, including improved frame-rates, graphical fidelity, and refined visuals.
