Battlefield 3 video footage roundup

21 July 2011

Battlefield 3 generated a storm of interest yesterday (21 July 2011) when video footage and screenshots taken during the limited alpha testing phase began to emerge.

Earlier on in the day David Jaffe, developer of God of War and Twisted Metal fame, opened a dialogue on whether or not Battlefield 3 is being overhyped. Jaffe suggested that gamers and the media haven’t seen enough actual gameplay footage to be making such premature judgements that game will be a huge success worthy of numerous E3 ‘game of the show’ awards.

It appears as though the gods of dial-up heard the taunts, and a batch of Battlefield 3 gameplay videos have emerged.

We have gathered up a selection of footage – all in full HD – showing off a good variety of the gameplay in Battlefield 3. The videos are live on the MyGaming YouTube channel, and this is as good a time as any to slip in a punt for the channel and suggest that fans of MyGaming subscribe to catch all of the latest gaming trailers and other related footage as it is released.

We begin with some actual official footage though, in case you missed it yesterday. DICE has released yet another multiplayer teaser.

Now for the leaked alpha footage.

Sneaky sniper multiplayer action

Some solid machine gun action

MCOM station disarming

A bold sniper

And finally, a montage of gameplay showing off some destruction and environments

Let us know on the MyGaming forum what you think of this showing from Battlefield 3. Can David Jaffe rest easy that the game will in fact be pretty good?
