If you think you’re getting a breather from the past couple of weeks’ big releases – think again.
We’re full-blast into the holiday season (yeah, it starts this early in the gaming world), and that means the big-title releases aren’t going to hold up just yet.
So I hope you’ve been saving your cash, because what lies ahead of you is a month or so of tough decisions.
This week is mostly a big week for console owners – PS3 in particular – but don’t worry PC guys, I know you’re all waiting for next week anyway.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (PS3 Exclusive)
This is THE launch for this week.
PS3 owners have likely already pre-ordered Nathan Drake’s next adventure, but on the off-chance that you own a PS3 and haven’t yet dabbled in a bit of Uncharted – now would be a good time to perk your ears up.
For many, Uncharted was simply the reason to even get a PS3; and when you look at the brief glimpses you get of the game playing out in all the trailers, it’s easy to see why.
Action, adventure, amazing set-pieces all the tied up together in some stunning visuals – add the new multiplayer features into the mix, and you’ve got yourself a winner.
Critics seem to agree.
Catch Drake’s Deception on Wednesday 2 November 2011.
Tropico 4 (Xbox 360)
Being a dictator can be fun!
Until your people turn against you and force a revolution, that is.
Luckily Tropico 4 isn’t quite as harsh as real world politics – but still a challenge, nonetheless.
The city-builder simulation game is now on its way to Xbox 360 – so console owners can also flex their dictator muscles as they choose to either use their all-encompassing powers of administration for good…or for evil.
Expect to be dishing out orders on this Friday, 4 November 2011.

Disney Universe (PS3/360/PC/Wii)
Party games never get the attention they deserve.
Or perhaps they get the exact amount of attention they deserve.
Either way, Disney Universe is the 4-player co-op party game that’s based – surprise – on the Disney universe (the clue was in the title).
While you’re not playing as Disney characters, exactly – you get to dress your little minions up in themed outfits (a la Little Big Planet style) while you play fun little party games in Disney-themed worlds.
It’s family-friendly and cute – and just what you need after a week of death and maiming in Battlefield 3.
Or not.
Probably not.
Disney Universe will be entertaining families and kids (or the young at heart) on all major platforms on Friday 4 November 2011.
