Now that the chaos of rAge has subsided, we get two big games this week, in the form of a new IP and a returning reworked classic – Bethesda’s Dishonored and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Dishonored
12 October 2012
Bethesda’s new IP is one of the most interesting games releasing this year, and it’s coming our way this week.
Looking like a crossover between Assassin’s Creed, Thief, and Bioshock, Dishonored combines stealth, action and beautifully stylised visuals to deliver a unique experience amongst the other games this month.
If throat-stabbing isn’t enough, Dishonored also throws in supernatural powers and a government conspiracy that should lure gamers into a new universe, surely to become a favourite.

X-COM: Enemy Unknown
12 October 2012
Not to be confused with 2K Marin’s XCOM re-imagining (which will be a shooter), one of the world’s most revered strategy developers, Firaxis, is bringing back XCOM to a new generation of gamers.
X-COM: Enemy Unknown will redefine the 1994 classic strategy game UFO: Enemy Unknown, and will feature the traditional and fan-favourite gameplay with a control scheme that works for console gamers too.
X-COM: Enemy Unknown will definitely be on PC gamers’ lists this week, as it re-energises a genre often neglected.
