Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes has been described as more of a prologue than a stand alone game, and the relatively cheap price of the title gives credence to that.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is scheduled for release on 21 March 2014 according to Ster Kinekor Entertainment.

Konami has announced that anyone who pre-orders the title will receive exclusive content, including Mother Base Staff for use with The Phantom Pain. The Mother Base is introduced during Ground Zero but plays a central role in Phantom Pain.

It was also announced on the EU PlayStation Blog that those who order Ground Zeroes for PS3 on the Playstation Store will receive Peace Walker HD free.

The pre-order DLC codes will be provided via a printed insert within physical copies of Ground Zeroes. Digital versions will access the pre-order DLC automatically upon loading The Phantom Pain.

Pricing was not available from CNA Online, Dion Wired, Makro, and Incredible Connection at the time of publication.
