Games releasing in May

If you thought you were finally about to get your finances in order, I have bad news: May is going to be packed full of great game releases.

Among the titles to look forward to are: Watch Dogs, Bound by Flame, and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Below is the complete list of big releases for the coming month.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, PS Vita, iOS, Android (Xbox One delayed)

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, players once again assume the role of the iconic super-hero in a unique storyline inspired by the feature film.

In your journey as Spider-Man you will encounter new foes, as well as old enemies, and face a threat that could destroy your beloved city.

The game also focuses more on Spider-Man’s nerdy photo-journalist persona, Peter Parker, than previous titles.

Bound by Flame

PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360

Developed by Spiders Studio, Bound by Flame is a heroic fantasy RPG that has you playing as a mercenary possessed by a demon.

In the grasp of the demon, you must choose between the demonic power within you, and your humanity.

You will be tempted to yield a bit more of your soul to the demon that possesses you in order to gain more power and as the demon gains more of your soul, your physical transformation becomes more obvious. Sounds intense.

Mario Golf World Tour

Mario, Luigi, and their Mushroom Kingdom neighbours are teeing off once again in Mario Golf: World Tour.

The Nintendo 3DS game includes both simple controls and a “deeper experience” for golf fans, plus courses that range from traditional 18-holers to those inspired by the Mushroom Kingdom.

Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition

PS3 on Blu-ray

If you can imagine it, you can build it! The critically acclaimed Minecraft comes to PlayStation3, allowing you to create you very own world to explore and conquer.

Play on your own, cooperatively with friends in 2 player and 4 player split screen modes, or online with up to 8 players.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One

Wolfenstein: The New Order reignites the series that created the first-person shooter genre.

Under development at Machine Games, a studio comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognized for their work creating story-driven games, Wolfenstein offers a deep, narrative driven game with action, adventure, and epic first-person combat.

Watch Dogs

PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 (Wii U delayed)

With each connection, we leave a digital trail that tracks our every move.

And it’s not just people – today, all major cities are networked. Urban infrastructures are monitored and controlled by complex operating systems.

In Watch Dogs, this system is called the Central Operating System (ctOS) – and it controls almost every piece of the city’s technology and holds key information on all of the city’s residents. Are you prepared to bring it all down?

Mario Kart 8

Wii U

Mario Kart 8 brings anti-gravity to the world of the much-loved cart racing game.

You’ll also be able to enjoy some familiar features from more recent titles, such as aerial and submarine racing from Mario Kart 7, as well as the bikes from Mario Kart Wii. Of course, the game also includes global multiplayer and Miiverse integration, letting you share the fun with everyone!

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

When a mysterious being kidnaps King Dedede atop a giant Dreamstalk, only Kirby can save the day.

Jump from the foreground to the background in dynamic 3D side-scrolling environments while using new and returning abilities to defeat enemies.

Whether you’re new to Kirby or an old fan, the Kirby: Triple Deluxe game offers action, adventure, and a battle mode.
