New year, new games

2015… a new year, a new you. More importantly, though, new games.

Although January might not be the best month to buy new games (who has any money left?), it’s nothing a bit of credit can’t sort out.

Here are the new games and expansions releasing this month.

Whoa Dave! – PS Vita

Releasing: 7 January 2015

Woah Dave! features a unique blend of platforming, slaughtering aliens, and racking up the highest score possible.

Far Cry 4: Escape from Durgesh Prison (DLC) – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC

Releasing: 13 January 2015

Players will have to complete challenges while racing against the clock to earn themselves a spot on the leaderboards.

The new Escape from Durgesh DLC will introduce permadeath, so you will have to be extra careful while escaping the dangerous prison.

You will be stripped of all your weapons and skills, and will be required to complete challenges to unlock them again.

Saints Row IV: Gat out of Hell – PS3, Xbox 360
Saints Row IV: Re-Elected – PS4, Xbox One

Releasing: 20 January 2015

The leader of the Saints has been captured by Satan in an effort to get him to marry the dark lord’s daughter: Jezebel.

Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington need to enter the Gates of Hell to put a stop to Satan while confronting their past enemies.

Resident Evil Remastered – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC

Releasing: 20 January 2015

The game that defined the survival-horror genre is back.

It’s 1998, the Special Forces team is sent to investigate some bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Upon arrival they are attacked by a pack of blood-thirsty dogs and are forced to take cover in a nearby mansion.

The scent of death hangs heavy in the air, and supplies are scarce as the team struggle to stay alive.

Grand Theft Auto V – PC

Releasing: 27 January 2015

Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of PC to deliver enhancements across the board.

Denser traffic, increased resolution, and greater draw distances are just some of the improvements.

Grim Fandango Remastered – PS4, PS Vita

Releasing: 27 January 2015

Based on the highly-acclaimed 1998 classic, this remake of Tim Schafer’s original adventure utilizes the same technology used to bring The Broken Age to life. Get ready to experience a new Grim Fandango.

Dying Light – PS4, Xbox One, PC

Releasing: 30 January 2015

Dying Light is a first-person, action survival-horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world.

During the day players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires – PS3, PS4, Xbox One

Releasing: 30 January 2015

Dynasty Warriors 8 is a beat ‘em up game and the eighth installment in the Dynasty Warriors series. Fight across 40 battlefields affected by the seasons and passing of time.
