Now that we are all getting back to work, it is time to talk about writing cheques and snapping necks – game sales.
Market research company GfK recently sent us its sales hit list for SA retail, which reveals the top 5 best-selling games for PC and console for November 2014. This includes both pre-orders and post-launch sales.
GfK says it covers around 90% of the SA gaming retail market, and 95% of the SA gaming consoles retail market.
GfK also tracks online retailers, as well as both the physical and online sales of the retailers which have physical and online outlets.
The stats presented are gathered on a monthly basis from the retailers with whom GfK is in partnership.
And no, it does not include Steam sales. Steam is not fond of releasing retail statistics – sorry.
