It’s been a tough week for South Africa.
The rand is losing major ground to the US Dollar and British Pound, the mining sector is in trouble, and I am working this long weekend.
While I was initially saddened by the thought of spending three days behind my PC while everyone else did holiday stuff, I thought back to how I spent the previous weekend.
It was Saturday evening, around 20:00, and I was in my room with a blanket wrapped around me playing Cities: Skylines on Steam.
And to answer your next set of questions: no, there were no supermodels sleeping in my bed, and I was not on my way to a dope party.
At least my city of Alrightsville is thriving – I might even extend the subway system, paid for by increased tax revenue, in the coming days.
