This week sees the return of an FPS veteran, albeit slightly stripped-down, archaic and decidedly brutal.
There’s also a sequel for those who love zombies and/or gun-toting flowers. Check out the games releasing this week:
Far Cry Primal – February 23
(Xbox One, PS4), 1 March (PC)
Far Cry Primal takes the beloved FPS series back to the Stone Age, stripping away the automatic weapons and focusing on the player’s relationship with the world around them.
Sabre-toothed tigers, woolly mammoths and other frightening creatures of old will be hunting you down, but there’s a twist: you’ll be able to control them too.
This is one of the most interesting releases this year, and we can’t wait to see how it pans out.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 – February 23
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)
The original Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare was a refreshing take on the popular tower (lawn) defense series with class-based gameplay that took its inspiration from greats like Team Fortress 2.
Garden Warfare 2 is back to expand upon an already successful franchise with new classes, modes, crossovers and even loyalty rewards.
With more generous pacing and worthwhile single-player content, Garden Warfare 2 is a robust shooter with a strong level of diversity that all but guarantees you’ll encounter something new every round you play.
