PlayStation VR will be in South Africa on 13 October 2016, according to the PlayStation website.
Sony announced the launch date and US pricing for its virtual reality headset at E3 2016.
The headset will sell for $399, while the PlayStation Camera will be sold for $60.
Sony announced on 30 June that it would open up one last wave of pre-orders in the US this afternoon (16:00).
It is offering a PlayStation VR Launch Bundle as a pre-order promotion for $499 – which includes the PS VR, a PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move motion controllers, and a PlayStation VR World disc.
PlayStation distributor Ster-Kinekor said it will reveal more details about the local launch soon.
