Cat S60 waterproof smartphone with thermal camera – South African pricing

Cat has officially launched its ultra-rugged S60 smartphone in South Africa.

The Cat S60 is the first smartphone in the world to feature an integrated thermal camera.

Designed for rough environments, the smartphone is strong and compact, allowing it to withstand drops of 1.8m.

The Cat S60 is also highly waterproof, and is able to remain submerged at a depth of 5m for 60 minutes.

The smartphone’s integrated thermal camera is the first of its kind, able to measure surface temperatures and heat loss while also allowing the user to see in complete darkness.

The S60’s battery lasts for up to 30 hours under continuous use.

The Cat S60 will be available in August 2016 and is priced at R12,999.
