XFX has announced the first fanless Polaris 11 graphics card, the Radeon RX 460 Black Wolf, VideoCardz reports.
Due to the very low power draw on the Radeon RX 460, the graphics card does not require any external PCIe power connectors, drawing power solely through the motherboard PCIe slot.
This also means that the GPU requires very little in terms of cooling, with most RX 460 AIB cards featuring simple, slim coolers.
The XFX Radeon RX 460 Black Wolf has no fan at all, opting for a single large heatsink with two heat pipes instead.
This means that the card’s cooling is reliant on the case airflow instead of a dedicated GPU fan.
The XFX Radeon RX 460 Black Wolf is adequately cooled, exhibiting the same temperatures under load as other RX 460 products with fan coolers (min: 33 degrees, max: 62 degrees).
The product is currently only available in China, with no South African pricing or release date available yet.
