    Hi Jamie,

A correction is needed to your first paragraph in the OLED Section:

‘OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display technology is fairly new, and can also be referred to as AMOLED, which is essentially the same thing, as most OLED displays are AMOLED even when not branded as such’

    The entire paragraph is incorrect…

OLED technology was researched in the 1950’s with the first practical use device built in 1987, not sure how this is ‘fairly new’?

This was only a few years after the TN-LCD panel was patented in 1970. IPS-LCD only came about in 1990.

Most OLED displays are most definitely NOT AMOLED, the reverse is however true, except replace ‘most’ with all.

AMOLED is an OLED screen with an Active Matrix overlayed, allowing for touchscreen capability and is used mostly in Mobile Devices.

As I have stated before on this site, a little journalistic pride will go a long way to producing quality articles.
