Zotac ZBOX Magnus EN1070

With the recent generation of desktop-class mobile graphics cards manufacturers can pack even more power in a small form factor, as seen by the prevalence of backpack VR PCs, gaming console upgrades, and mini gaming rigs.

Zotac has followed this trend with its ZBOX Magnus mini gaming PC lineup, which boasts VR Ready Nvidia GTX 10 Series graphics in a tiny form factor.

The Zotac ZBOX Magnus is smaller than most gaming consoles and packs the power of a high-end gaming rig.

The ZBOX Magnus EN10 Series is a barebones mini gaming PC available in a number of configurations depending on the pre-installed GTX 10 Series graphics card.

The devices are fully customisable and do not ship with any pre-installed storage, memory, or operating system.

This package from Zotac was built for a specific purpose (extremely compact and efficient desktop replacement with optimized airflow and VR gaming capable hardware with added benefits of support etc.). As Theo has said, time, research and money went into it, naturally it’ll be a bit more expensive than if you were trying to replicate it yourself by purchasing different parts from multiple vendors.

It’s not entirely fair to say you can make one yourself for cheaper overall cost. You can make a “similar” one yourself for less money, but it won’t be a Zotac ZBOX, and it won’t be as optimized.
