The new Apple A11 Bionic processor in the iPhone X is incredibly powerful, according to a report by HotHardware.

The report stated that the six-core A11 – reportedly built on a 10-nanometre FinFET process – scored well in Geekbench tests.

“Just prior to Apple announcing its newest iPhone, Geekbench’s database was updated with a new entry for an iPhone 10.5, which we assume to be the iPhone X,” it said.

  • In single-core performance, the phone scored 4,061.
  • In multi-core performance, it scored 9,959.

This is compared to other high-end devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 – which scored 1,845 in single-core performance and 6,333 in multi-core performance.

The Samsung S8 tested was powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, it added.

Full benchmark tests are expected once the iPhone X launches later this year.

That’s quite powerful. Hope the battery drain won’t be too much.
