NZXT updates the Phantom lineup with more sexy curves

NZXT has updated their Phantom family and introduced the successor to the Phantom 410. The 510 has similar dimensions and features, but looks far better.

It retains the familiar Phantom lines with an slightly angular design; the biggest change is the width – the front now needs to accommodate a 200mm intake fan. The internal design now also takes cues from the Switch 810 and the Phantom 820, with an interchangeable hard drive chassis and some extra space behind the motherboard tray for more cables.

NZXT says there’s 70% more cable management space available, so for those of you who have a lot of cables to hide, you’ll definitely appreciate the extra depth. Triple radiator support is now also possible with a 240mm unit on the bottom, a 360mm unit on the top and another 240mm unit in the front. It’ll be a tight squeeze, but there’s enough space to do it.

There’s also a few other smaller enhancements. There are now eight PCI slots, so triple Crossfire or SLI setups are accommodated for. At the back there’s also a 10-channel fan power supply behind the motherboard tray, an incredibly useful feature if you do put two 240mm radiators with push-pull support in the case. The Phantom 530 accommodates up to three DVD drives, six 3.5-inch hard drives and an additional 2.5-inch drive behind the motherboard tray.

NZXT says the Phantom 530 will be available in a few short weeks worldwide and the RRP is set at $119.00 (approximately R1,170 at the time of writing). Local availability still has to be confirmed. There will also be Red and Black versions of the Phantom 530.
