Razer’s Jan Horak told MyGaming that they will be bringing all of the new, recently announced Razer products to South Africa.
Local gamers can look forward to the new BlackWidow X mechanical keyboards, Man O’ War wireless gaming headsets, and the new and updated Hammerhead V2 in-ear headset.
Horak said Razer’s main goal has been, and will always be, to make all new products available in South Africa as soon as they can.
“This is something our fans expect from us, and we will make sure to meet the demand,” said Horak.
Razer is a popular brand among local gamers, with the Chroma lineup being a favorite in the country.
Horak said the full set of BlackWidow Chroma, Mamba Tournament Edition and Kraken 7.1 Chroma is particularly popular.
“We see that more and more gamers go for a full Chroma setup to take advantage of the inter-device connectivity and super-easy lighting synchronization through our Synapse driver software,” he said.
Weaker rand’s impact on Razer products
Horak said that Razer has been affected by the weak rand, and had to adjust its local pricing accordingly.
“We know this is something our fans are not happy about – and we are not, either – but if we hadn’t done that, it would have been hard for us to keep focusing on South Africa as a core market,” he said.
“Because in the end, we do not want the weak rand to affect our product launch strategies and timings,” said Horak.
