The GeForce GTX 1080M is rumoured to be unveiled at Computex 2016, TweakTown reports.
The GTX 1080M will be aimed at the gaming notebook market, featuring high performance coupled with exceptional power efficiency.
The Pascal card’s processing power was teased by benchmarks for an upcoming Asus gaming notebook, which will feature the GTX 1080M.
The upcoming laptop-oriented GPU will be reportedly feature better performance than the GTX 980 notebook GPU and the Titan X.
Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1080M is a powerful mobile GPU which is expected to feature GDDR5X memory and 2,560 CUDA cores.
The power efficiency of Nvidia’s Pascal architecture means that upcoming mobile GPUs could be exceptionally more powerful than previous iterations.
This will allow mobile gamers to experience virtual reality, as the GTX 1080M boasts specifications well above the minimum requirements for VR headsets.
The GTX 1080M is set to be unveiled at Computex, which will take place from 31 May – 4 June 2016.
